Eric Nehrlich, Unrepentant Generalist

I borrowed this from a friend when it looked like I might be trying to do something with neural networks at work. It’s a nice little summary of the basic neural network algorithms, with derivations of the equations and things like that. Useful for a quick overview, which was what I wanted, so that worked out well.
